Our latest paper on guilty plea decisions of juveniles was published in Law and Human Behavior this month. We interviewed 64 youth and 56 adults who pleaded guilty to felonies in New York City about their guilty pleas and report on the differences we found between the adults and teens in their understanding of the plea process and in the factors they they considered when making their decisions.
