Lee Clark spent 25 years wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. His story, and the post-conviction investigation that led to his eventual exoneration, was chronicled in Season 1 of the Proof podcast by attorney Susan Simpson and producers Jacinda Davis and Kevin Fitzpatrick. Join us for a conversation with Lee, the Proof podcast team, and Dr. Tina Zottoli as they discuss Lee's journey, the role of investigative podcasts in uncovering wrongful convictions, and how members of the public can help to undo and prevent wrongful convictions. Introductory remarks will be provided by Rutgers University Law Professor, Thea Johnson.


Registration is required. In-person seating is limited to the first 110 registrants, but a virtual option will be offered.
This event is free for all attendees. However, there is a suggested $5 donation if you attend the Afterparty! (See below)

Driving/Parking: Guests may park in either the Car Parc Diem or Red Hawk Deck garages. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be paid using the PayByPhone app. From either garage, it is about a 10-minute walk to Brantl Lecture Hall, located on the first floor of Dickson Hall.

Public Transit: Guests traveling by NJ Transit should take the Montclair-Boonton Line to the Montclair Heights Station. From the station, it is approximately a 10-minute walk from Brantl Lecture Hall, located on the first floor of Dickson Hall.
